Clara utilizes a bluetooth low energy device to determine the proximity of devices on a local network.
The strength of the connection is then mapped to the intensity of light outputted by the Clara structure. This automates the illumination depending on the density of community members nearby.
Clara is designed with durable materials in mind, this allows her optimal version to exist in harsh street environments.
For the sake of this full-scale demo, we assembled Clara with light transportable materials. The method of assembly, however, was designed with the option to substitute materials in mind.
